Puppy Love
We have a beautiful Great Dane puppy… well, puppy is objective I guess. In January of this year, she turned one, but she’s still young and has the energy level to prove it. The other day I was looking through some photos from our first year with Zora, and I am amazed at how quickly she grew up! She’s small for her breed at a mere 95-ish pounds, tall, gangly and full of more love than any dog I’ve ever known, but it was her sweet small beginnings that always remind me at how big she really is.
It was a snowy winter day when we picked her up in March of 2009. We drove all the way up to Mac Tier to look at her litter, and in my mind I figured we were just “looking”, but in my heart I think I knew. We met with the breeder and were taken out to meet the puppies. Zora was the last available Blue Merle in her litter and we instantly fell in love with her. She was spunky and independent, sticking up for herself when one of her larger siblings tried to boss her around. Thinking back, her mother is very much like what Zora has become. Energetic and wanting to say hello to everyone!
She’s modeled for both Richie and I, but these are some of my absolute favourites. Her first shoot with Richie back in April 2009. She was so tiny! I think it’s time to get her camera ready once more
